Well... if
by any chance someone wants to have me perform the mod on his card(s), here
are my condition I work on:
-You pay for shipping both ways.
-You agree for patience. I have little spare time from my dayly job and modding
video cards takes alot of time to be done in proper way.
-You send me 5 RAM chips for a Voodoo4 card and 10 memory modules for a Voodoo5
5500 card (and your card to be modded too, ofcourse).
-You agree to pay 10 Euro for the rework of one Voodoo4 card and 25 Euro for
modding one Voodoo5 5500. If by my fault, modding is not successfull, you pay
nothing for my work, I send the parts back to you, but I do not pay for damages.
-As I am a private individual, not a company, I cannot give you receipts for
payment made.
-You can ask me to send back the old chips on the card and the left-over spares,
or you can send a Voodoo4 AGP card too to have it modded too using the old chips
to 64Mb (by soldering 4 of the old chips in the empty spaces on the PCB), for
a rework price of 5 Euro for a Voodoo4 AGP, but, ofcourse, I would me more than
happy if you let me keep the old and/or spares chips to have them used in other
new 3DFX projects of mine.
-I am not responsable for DOA situations.
By the way, I am located in Romania (that is in the European Union).
If anybody still wants to have me modd his card(s) after reading the above conditions,
feel free to contact me.

Hi friends,
Sorry for being away for a long time. Some of you might remember me from a past
success of mine, the Voodoo4 AGP with 64Mb of RAM...

Is there in this community the spirit for modding the 3DFX cards to their max
still alive?
Because finaly we have the opportunity to accomplish the dream of going to double
the orriginal amount of memory on our VSA100 voodoos. That is 64Mb for the Voodoo4,
128Mb for the Voodoo5 5500 and, for the brave, 256Mb with the Voodoo5 6000!
I have the opportunity of buying now the right memory chips (16Mb each) that
we need for this project. I am in contact with the reseller company that can
provide the memory modules, but it will take a joint effort to get it done,
because they will not sell in small quantities.
To keep it short, the minimum batch they agreed to sell is a tray of 108 chips,
at a price of 2.40 Euro (3.50 USD) without VAT for a piece. If we can get enough
of us to cover this number of RAM modules, then we are good to go. I will take
at least 8 chips to mod my own Voodoo5 5500, but there is no way for me alone
to pay for all of them.
By the way, the SDRAM is of top quality, it is rated for industrial temp use;
I will link bellow the datasheet:

If anyone here is interested in modding their Voodoo4/5 cards to the double
of the default RAM memory, please reply with the number of chips you want to
buy.
I have fate that 3DFX is not dead yet and we can togetter pull this off.

15/09/2008 VOODOO1 DRIVER FOR x64
Voodoo 1 GlideXP x64.
Colourless-
Well after 2 days of work, i'm somewhat proud to announce the that I've been
sucessful in my task and I present to you Voodoo 1 Drivers for x64. Or as I
call them to match my other Glide source endevours, Voodoo 1 GlideXP x64.
Driver Versions Included

Koolsmoky, one
of our driver developers, have released a new version of it's driver. This driver
is distributed in two versions: one for graphic cards based on VSA100 chip (3Dfx
Voodoo4 and Voodoo5), the other for 3D graphic accelerators based on Voodoo2
chipset; both have been developed to be used on Windows XP Operating System.
Both versions are DirectX 7 compliant.
Added option
to force turn on Voodoo4,5 DVI output. Place string "ForceDFP" set
to "1" under registry key,
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services \3dfxvs\Device0".
Replace number of Device0 accordingly.
This should help those having trouble with DFP hot plug detection. If you are looking for a PC BIOS to flash your Voodoo5 5500 PCI DVI Macintosh, come visit the 3dfxzone forums.
Fixed so that Glide/OpenGL runs properly on selected board in a multi-board environment. If an application does not allow board selection, use registry tweek "FX_GLIDE_SST_PRIMARY" and set value to the board number to swap as primiary Glide board.
Fixed so that Voodoo5 6000 runs on top of AGP to PCI riser cards. All FSAA/SLI modes have been tested. Kudos for those who are lucky to have both.
Includes fixes
for memmap errors and desktop corruptions.
Optimized for 3dnow! and mmx.
FX_GLIDE_SWAPINTERVAL = 0 will force VSYNC off. V2 SLI may have problems syncing
the scanlines when VSYNC is off.
Alphablending dither subtraction is disabled by default. Set SSTH3_ALPHADITHERMODE
= 3 to enable dither subtraction.
4x4 dither matrics is used when alphablending dither subtraction is enabled.
Other wise it's always 2x2.
Set SSTV2_MISMATCHED_SLI = 1 for mismatched SLI support. This may not work due
to differences in V2 board design. If you have problems try swapping the PCI
slot order of the V2 boards.
If the screen goes blank but you still hear the application running in the background,
reconnect your display and pass-through cable to the second V2 or set SSTV2_SWAPBOARDS
= 1
Win9x/ME: copy glide2x.dll and glide3x.dll to c:\windows\system
Quantum3D Obsidian2 X-24, X-16, and similar SLI boards must have the following
set.
SSTV2_FT_CLKDEL = 5
SSTV2_TF0_CLKDEL = 7
SSTV2_TF1_CLKDEL = 7
SSTV2_TF2_CLKDEL = 7
SSTV2_SLIM_VIN_CLKDEL = 3
SSTV2_SLIM_VOUT_CLKDEL = 2
SSTV2_SLIS_VIN_CLKDEL = 3
SSTV2_SLIS_VOUT_CLKDEL = 2
SSTV2_GRXCLK = 90

VOODOO5 5500 AGP MOD MEM 4ns @250MHz EntronTech
ALT-F13- The easiest way to get more or less fast SDRAM chips is to buy ASUS V7100 Pro 64MB. This is GF 2 MX400 card with 4.0 ns EtronTech chips. Note that 32MB version (which is also available) is equipped with 4.5 ns EtronTech chips. Once these mem chips were the most hunted by overclockers - average overclocking potential of both versions is about 250 MHz and there is chances to get 4.0 ns ones to 260-270 MHz on stock voltage. EtronTech did a great job with these last SDRAM chips. I'd say this should be far enough for VSA-100 core And you still can voltmod the card with proper cooling to get even more!
We have tested this RAM (4.0 ns EtronTech) on V5-5500 - while no performance/overclocking tests have been done due to lack of time, card boots with new RAM without any troubles (this is a note for people disturbed about VSA-100 compatibility with different mem chips).
Here is the pic.

Memory swapped from ASUS V7100 Pro 64MB (GF 2 MX400). Yesterday we (me and cUsLs) tested this card. It does 195 MHz without any troubles at all on stock cooling. 200 MHz is reachable but after 10-15 seconds any test start showing artifacts which looks like troubles of SLI interconnection (like 1 GPU is less overclockable than other).
